Job Summary
The Sales Development Manager is responsible for developing and managing the
new sales to new customers and in new markets
General Description:
The primary responsibility of this position is to manage the Sales Development
Section within the Sales Department to develop and drive new business and
subsequent sales for the company.
Main Responsibilities
1. Sales
  • New Business: Develop new business in current and new markets
  • KPIs: Work with management to define KPI’s for Section.
  • Set Section Targets: Work with management to set sales, profit and KPI targets for Section.
  • Set Subordinate Targets: Set sales, profit and KPI’s targets for subordinates.
  • Meet Targets: Meet agreed upon Section sales and KPI targets and objectives
  • Manage Process: Manage the sales process and goals of subordinates
  • Lead Generation: Generate new leads.
  • Lead Qualification: Grade and qualify leads.
  • Potentials: Turn qualified leads into potentials.
  • Close: Close prospects and convert to sales
  • Forecast: Forecast Section sales
  • Recommendations: Recommend to management techniques to increase sales
  • Metrics: Work with management to develop the metrics to track marketing ROI.
  • Reporting. Produce reports on all Section activities and KPI’s.
  • CRM. Fully utilize the CRM system to track KPI’s (leads, lead qualification, potentials, telephone calls, meetings, closed sales, etc).
  • Training: Train staff on the sales process, using the CRM, and sales techniques.
  • Collateral Materials: Consult on the development of sales collateral materials.
  • Sales Programs: Develop sales programs as required.
2. Management of Subordinates
  • Establish energetic, hardworking and disciplined sales team
  • Establish targets, goals and objectives for sales team/subordinates
  • Design work systems for sales team/subordinates as required
  • Accomplish performance reviews as required.
  • Make promotion and salary recommendations
  • Develop learning, product knowledge and improvement programs for subordinates.
  • Take disciplinary actions (written and verbal) when required and as early as possible.


3. Other Duties : Do other duties and jobs as requested.
