Requirements
  1. You must be educated to degree level and/or hold a recognized shipping qualification and experiences applicable to the role.
  2. You must have experience as Vessel’s Master, Captain, Head Engineer or Rank Officer/ Engineer, in particular Petrochemicals ships.
  3. Needs to be a good communicator who is capable of report writing in a clear and structured way. You must also have good negotiation skills.
  4. Leadership and management skills are essential in Operations Management and so you must be able to demonstrate previous experience of managing people, including performance assessment.
  5. Strong problem solving and analytical skills is essential as you will be required to analyze operational data to help improve efficiencies and to also predict operational problems.
  6. You must be familiar with the current computer programs, technology, navigations, machines used within the industry.
  7. You must have a good networking with the petrochemicals, oil and gas industry as the potential clients.
  8. Strong Financial Experience and Problem Solving/ Process Improvement skills required
  9. Love taking on difficult challenges and finding creative solutions.

Responsibilities
  1. Ensure cost effectiveness and efficiency of supply value chain “loading, shipping, unloading port”
  2. Build good working rapport and network with all destination port authority.
  3. Lead post fixture related matters from voyage instructions to Masters, operating instructions to agents, handling of claims or charter party disputes, collection of all freights and charter hire, monitoring performance of TC vessels according to TC description, finalization of all accounts with Owners and Charterers.
  4. To be involved in the day to day operations of the ship including navigational safety, cargo, ballast and tank cleaning and inspections.
  5. Maintaining safety standards and procedures is a key part of the job as well as environmental management. You may also be required to act as a member of an Emergency Response Team.
  6. To be involved in the analysis and monitoring of operational data to ensure potential problems are averted. You will provide guidance to Masters, Fleet Managers and general management on any special requirements.
  7. The company may also require you to attending meetings or sit on committees established within the Maritime industry to represent the company.
  8. Provide advice to vessels and fleet management on cargo requirements, tank cleaning, stability and stress and to maintain all statutory requirements for the vessel in this field.
  9. Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
  10. Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments.
  11. Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.
  12. Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
