Required Work Experience
  1. At least 2 years working experience in a Key Account Management role for a MNC.
  2. Experience in sales and/or dealing with sales and account management teams in  the  capacity  of  training or communications preferred.
  3. Demonstrable client/account management experience and a satisfied customer base.
  4. Prior experience managing at least 2 people.
Required Qualifications
  1. Degree in a Business related discipline, with specialization in sales and/or  marketing  or  medical sciences is an advantage

Overall Purpose of the Job (Brief description of the primary purpose of this position)
This role is centered around the management, development and growth of the existing Company contract  portfolio. Job purpose is to build, maintain and execute account management plans targeted at ensuring retention  of current Company customers, especially membership clients. Work with current customers to identify extension opportunities and work with the Business Development team to identify solutions to meet these needs, capture new business opportunities, continually train end-users and monitor satisfaction. Proactively market company services to existing customers.
Ensure visitation schedules are met, revenue budgets are achieved and accounts receivable objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management
  1. Responsible for performing account management in order to ensure retention and growth of Company customers in the assigned market segment.
  2. Conduct renewals on contracts and memberships prior to expiry. Assist the Membership Dept in the renewal and client contact activity.
  3. Drives in-depth account penetration and takes full responsibility for the contract renewal process.
  4. Follows individual account management visitation schedules and adheres to questions/duties that must be covered on a client visit.
  5. Owns the Account Management plan for assigned clients. Works to build multi-layered relationships within the client’s organization that assist in providing account stability, build client trust and lead to sales growth
  6. Pro-actively positions the company to avoid tenders. In the event that this is not possible, tenders must be approached in a planned, strategic manner.
  7. Work alongside with the Marketing Manager to support sales promotion programs to increase sales volume and exceed sales targets in existing accounts.
  8. Initiates action and develops strategies which increase revenue and create new income streams from within the existing business base whilst holding cost percentages within budgetary levels.
  9. Co-ordinate the distribution and return of customer satisfaction surveys
  10. Willingly cooperate with colleagues in the best interests of company. Maintain compliance with all company policies and guidelines and attainment of due dates for financial and corporate assignments.
  11. Ensure documentation and reporting on all key client visits and major events are documented and that all information relating to existing clients is up to date in Salesforce.
  12. Responsible for the local account management of Global and Regional accounts and “Blue Card” renewals and education.
  13. Track lost accounts and arrange for exit interviews for key accounts
  14. Ensure representation at International company Corporate and client/networking functions that impact on the market segment and maximize network opportunities e.g. participation in conference and exhibition and special events.
  15. Prepare and present, in a timely manner, high quality proposals that comply with company guidelines
Product Development and Awareness
  1. Provides feedback on Company products and services to stimulate product improvement/enhancements.
  2. Participate in the “Product Champion” forums to tailor the products/services in line with customer needs Maintain up to date knowledge about the services and products of company so that clients are advised correctly. This includes maintaining contact with the Alarm Center and other department on their activities which may impact on clients as corporations or as individuals.
Competitive Analysis
  1. Actively develop and maintain market intelligence regarding competitors and market prices and conditions.
  2. Have a good awareness of the market.
  3. Maintain awareness of the external business and operational environment including a profile with at least one relevant organization or professional association.
Client Education
  1. Responsible for ensuring that SOS products/services and delivery processes are  successfully understood and utilized by each Company client.
  2. Ensures new customers to company experience low levels of service failure by developing proactive communication processes
Financial Management
  1. Responsibility for increasing revenue and gross margin from the existing customer portfolio.
  2. Ensure monthly reporting from Revenue Planner matches the financial reports generated by the Finance department
  3. Responsible for debtor management of all accounts in the allocated portfolio, especially accounts over 60 days
  4. Preparation of a detailed and accurate annual budget including setting key tasks and allocating project activities.
  5. Preparation of accurate forecasts in consultation with the Business Development Managers.
  6. Seek prior approval from Sales & Marketing Manager S.E.A for non-standard discounts, price changes and any free goods incentives.
  7. Each Account Manager is given a Material Requisition approval limit above which amount Authorization must be sought from the Sales & Marketing Manager S.E.A if the material requisition exceeds the limit.
  8. Propose new business strategies that increase business.
Team Management
  1. Pro-actively assist with all business development and selling activities as and when required.
  2. Participates in an environment which encourages open and frank discussion on issues of concerns which are or have the potential to negatively impact on performance or morale.
  3. Be prepared to present ideas, concepts and specific knowledge to the Marketing and Sales Team and the company as and when required or volunteered.
  4. Suggest training requirements to best increase skills and knowledge that assist in increasing sales and marketing effectiveness.
