Requirements
 
Education and Training:
  1. Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Law or other related field.
  2. Excellent communication skills both in English and Bahasa Indonesia: negotiation level
  3. Excellent writing skills both in English and Bahasa Indonesia
  4. Excellent knowledge about Automotive Business, especially in Indonesia
 
Experience:
  1. Minimum 5 years in Management level which include working experience with government officials.
 
Specific Knowledge and Skills:
  1. Strong persuasion and negotiation skills
  2. Able to work independently and collaborative in nature.
  3. Strong management skills with a good business acumen (especially automotive business) and political awareness
  4. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  5. Highly confidence as company’s representative to build productive communication (lobbying) with every level of government officer within the compliance and ethical frame of reference
  6. Has basic knowledge of ISO IATF 16949.
Responsibilities
 
Organizational Objectives of the position:
  1. Ensuring that the representation of Political Interest also known as Lobbying is initiated and performed by or in coordination with External Affairs in term of its substance and is in conformity with all applicable Regulations and Ethical Standards. Promote stability and reliability as basis for future investments. Monitoring/Early Warning of Incentives Frameworks, Automotive Policies, Non-Tariff Barriers to Trade (NTB’s), Local Content Rules and support Ad-Hoc-Information Requests on Project Demands. Political evaluation of scenarios and promote Intra-ASEAN Lobbying Standards. Provides top management with regular reports on business opportunities and documents legislation affecting company policies. 
 
Description of Tasks:
  1. To comply with Company External Affairs Policy (B 71.3 on Lobbying, Political Contributions and Party Donations Policy)
  2. To manage good relationship with external stakeholders: Government, related associations, EU Delegation for Indonesia and Brunei, etc.
  3. To do coordination and alignment in term of lobbying activities among ASEAN External Affairs Representatives
  4. To report and to update Company External Affairs Head Quarter and Head of Company ASEAN External Affairs
  5. To manage cross department coordination on External Affairs and Government Relation topics
  6. Clarifying respective regulations and interpretation
  7. To coordinate legislative efforts by working with government
  8. To help the company meet legislative goal by creating policy proposals and working with government agencies
  9. To do research and to monitor legislation
  10. To track happenings within the government that could affect the company
  11. To proactively research policy to see what changes could be advantageous and which trends might negatively impact the company in the future
  12. To work with government officials to convey the legislative goals
  13. To prepare reports and presentation for the company as well as for external audience.
  14. To represent the company at industry forums and events
