Objective: Why the position exists, within what limits and with what objectives (or process result) ?

  • Indonesia is the largest FM market in Southeast Asia. 
  • The objective of the role is drive growth by placing a sales representative on the ground in Indonesia to hunt for new FM NCA opportunities, deepen share of wallet through new customer projects as well as further build relationships and eventually “crack” large regional captive players (e.g. URC, Monde Nissin).


  • Responsible for chocolate/compound sales to industrial food manfacturers in Indonesia. 

Qualifications required 


  • Strong Bachelors or above

Experience (type)

  • Direct experience in B2B sales in the industrial food ingredient space with a company with strong presence in Indonesia, so that the candidate brings a network of relationships with major Indonesian players and expertise in handling B2B . Candidates could come from B2B sales roles in food ingredient companies, flavor house, or oil & fat companies 

Knowledge or specific business understanding

  • Experience in B2B sales in the Indonesia and effective relationship builder, ideally with pre-existing relationships with major potential customers in Indonesia (e.g. Campina, AICE, Nabati, Lotte)
  • Direct knowledge of compound/chocolate business or alternatively understanding of major components (e.g. fats) that go into our compounds
  • Mature self-starter capable of operating independently and proactively on the ground.
  • Experience and ability to work with network of internal stakeholders, most of which are not in Indonesia (e.g. R&D team based in Malaysia)
  • Potential to grow with - strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; ability to prioritize opportunities effectively; capable of articulating benefits of BC innovation and quality; ability to put together complex “outsourcing” proposals
