  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy or Engineering or 3 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in our specific industry.
  • Experience must include at least 3 years from one or several of the following industries: mining comminution or aggregate.
  • Successful field performance in sales and technical support of Mill Lining sales and supervision of Relines
  • Capability to absorb and deliver product knowledge on mill linings and screen media after relevant training.


  • Ability to read, analyse and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, engineering drawings or government regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as gross margins, discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

This position is primarily responsible for all aspects of sales (in conjunction with other Account Managers, Product Managers), technical advice and support, as well as budgeting, pricing and managing for the Mill Lining product line, within the Rubber and Polyurethane Division in Indonesia.


  • Identify the Indonesian region market, pricing policies and strategies.
  • Provide specialised sales, service and support for Mill Lining products within Indonesia and South East Asia.
  • Develop, maintain and improve upon the organisation’s product knowledge and skills for Mill Lining products.
  • Monitor operating expenses in all areas of responsibility including travel and accommodation.
  • Achieve agreed sales and profitability objectives across the region.


  • Calls on mineral processing customers, engineering houses, distributors and other relative establishments in order to convince prospective clients of desirability and practicability of products or services offered by Mill Lining product line.
  • Oversees and assists in the selection of the correct product for the application.
  • Participates in regular field visits with Sales and Account Managers to improve their application knowledge and product selection.
  • Monitors new product installation for performance and modifications if required.
  • Liaises with production units relating to product specification and quality.
  • Ensures adequate and correct inventory is available to meet market needs.
  • Conducts training programs for sales team and customers as required.
  • Supervises installations (if and when required).
  • Provides Mill Lining technical support (internally and externally as necessary).

Business Planning

  • Provides detailed business plans for Mill Lining products for the region.
  • Provides yearly sales forecasts (in conjunction with Sales and A/C Managers) for all Mill Lining products.
  • Participates in the development of sales policy with corporate management to obtain optimal prices and maximise the business’ share.
  • Develops and prepares SG&A budgets, SEA forecasts, quotations.
  • Draws up sales or service contract for products or services.
  • Prepares monthly sales reports showing sales volume, margin, potential sales and areas of proposed client base expansion.

Research and Development

  • Develops new products and field trial.
  • Develops, modifies and adapts product specifications to suit client needs.
